We are really excited to have you all experience the Kern River. Since the water flow (cfs, not csf…haha) is high and will remain high for awhile, we have decided to keep it fun, manageable (and more affordable) by doing the class II-III run. So here’s the plan:
Meet at Sierra South in Kernville at 11:45am on Saturday July 13th for our 12:30 trip, there you will sign in, get suited up with a life jacket and helmet and meet your guides. Depending on how many people we end up with there will be up to 6 (sometimes 7) people in one raft. From there we will load the bus and they will take us up river the the put in, after a safety talk and some paddle commands we will be on our way. We will end up back in town and do it all over, one more time (total of 2 runs)!
Following our adrenaline fix we will caravan to Camp 9 on Lake Isabella. We are in Group Camp 2. Time to set up camp, take an evening swim and RELAX.
Dinner will be provided, please let us know if you have any food restrictions. If we can have a fire there will be s’mores for dessert.
Yoga in the morning followed by a yummy breakfast. No need to rush home, we don’t need to be out of camp until noon.
